I cook meals for the week and then reheat during the rest of the week. This double heating makes a whole meals hot in 2 or 3 minutes. Easy clean up ez storage, and for busy people that enjoy home cooked food this is the thing. For busy people with kids, college students that take the doggie bag home. This is a must have. uses a few tablespoons of water. No need to add oil, and food is moist

Despite not providing a full seal, especially at the top, it steams vegetables well. The lack of a seal does not harm the vegetables or steamer.

The various levels don't leave a seal, especially at the top. However they provide enough cover that it still steams well and doesn't evaporate so much water that damage is done to the vegetables or the steamer. I use it for 15 meals a week.

I love being able to cook more than 1 type of vegetable. It also steams fish and rice. I use mine about 3 x week.
