It is much larger than I realized, but that is a GOOD thing. We had 5 or 6 medium-large bowls in it (potato salad, cole slaw, shrimp, etc). I used one standard bag of ice in it and that was plenty to keep the food cold for several hours. Of course, in direct sunlight, the ice would melt faster, so it works best in a shady area.

This is a great way to keep all your food safe to eat, if it needs to keep cold. I bought a few for gifts at christmas time, and everyone loved it.This makes a great gift, if you don't know what to buy for someone. My friends and family are looking forward to use it.
