Instant Screen Door Reviews
I rent an apartment in a 1920s building in a historic district. Of course, screen doors are prohibited by the district guidelines, and all of my windows are painted shut. My porch door was my best option of letting some fresh air into the room. I ordered this in spite of its stated 37" width, to see if I could still make it fit in my 31" porch door. If you're using the tension rod to put it up (rather than the velcro), this door is very easy to cut to size. And if you need to use velcro, it's easy to get some from a craft store and go whole-hog with your modification.

I live in Florida and this screen keeps the mosquitos off our back porch very nicely. My 3 dogs don't have a problem walking thru it to the yard and with the weighted bottom, the screen falls nicely back into place. Screen is well made and seems to be very sturdy. I had previously bought another door screen from a large retail store which ripped within weeks. So far, with 3 large dogs running in and out thru the screen numerous times a day, my screen door has held up wonderfully!

I bought this for a friend who lives in a senior independent living community. She's not allowed to install anything permanent, so we thought we'd try this. First, the positives- Good packaging, easy to open plastic box which can be saved to store the screen for later moves, winter, etc. Easy to install. We used the spring-loaded bar, threaded it thru the top pocket, and pushed it up into place. After a little adjusting, we put the super-sticky velcro patches in place on the door frame and we were done. Very sturdy material, seems very well constructed. The bottom was a flexible (if rather light-weight) weight bar which conformed nicely to the bottom of the door frame. Plenty of velcro patches were provided if you wanted to use that instead of the spring bar. The picture shows the screen hanging perfectly flat, but on her door there was enough material so that when you pulled the fabric down just a bit tight, it kind of curled in and left no gaps at all...

When assembled it does not stay straight and durable it bends in the middle and the side shoot out the sides that are suppose to support it upright

This is perfect to us on a rental as you leave nothing permanent on the structure. But we had to modify with removable 'clips' to anchor it smoothly around the frame for proper closure. We've already had compliments on it from delivery folks and it does look very nice from the curb!

This will work to let air through and insects out. Don't know how long will lask around children.
