The headset works just fine for the price. The sound quality is slightly tinny. You need to turn your tv volume down low and control the volume thru the headset ear piece. This helps with the sound quality. It's easy to hook up. The necessary rechargeable batteries come with the set and they hold a 15 hour charge. Recharging the batteries is done by connecting the headset to the transmitter overnight.

my 84 yr. old mom lives with us and has a hard time hearing the tv in her room...unfortunately the rest of us can hear her tv fine from anywhere in the house she has it so loud! this has been a lifesaver...no more annoying tv at all hours of the night! easy to use, I didn't even read the directions.

Better sound and able to amplify TV. This is the 3rd different one to try. The Sony was cheaply made and broke. The JVC was unable to amplify the sound. This one uses infrared so it does not have any static.

These headphones have saved more than one disagreement while viewing our TV. I put them on and can crank up the volume to my choice. She can keep the volume down on the set and not hurt her ears. Plus, if she wants to talk to me, she'll pause the show and I can give her my undivided attention.

Followup eight months later. After eight months of continuous use I still like these headphones as much as when I first got them. If anything, my environment has gotten worse-- still no bad effects on the sound quality, battery still takes and holds a charge. I wonder if I can figure out how to hook these up to my MP3 player? The hardest part of setting up this product was moving the television around to get at the audio connections. I would describe my environment as "Hostile" to electronic products. In the same room that I am using this headset I am running 900MHz wireless networking, 2.4 GHz wireless networking, other 2.4 GHz devices, a microwave oven and wireless n devices at 5.something GHz. Also CDMA and GSM wireless telephone device and a Clear wireless hotspot. Kismet tells me it can see over 200 individual wireless networks in my immediate area. Oh, I'm right under a National Airport flight path also. I can't image a worse environment for electronics...

The wireless headset is great if you have bad hearing OR if you want the house totally quiet. Line of sight must be maintained or there will be a loud hiss.

Bought for elder in the home, heard a little static when not in right spot or when hands were behind head reclined in chair and is why only 4 stars. Would buy again and wish we had sooner!

This device is awesome if you are someone who wants to watch television while someone else is trying to sleep! Read the instruction manual! If the device doesn't work when plugged into the TV, switch it to the cable box. Works wonderfully!

Wife like the tv to be low. I can not hear it now there is no problem. I can set the volume on the TV Listener as loud as I want and it is very clear. Love it.

I've used it one time so far, and it worked just fine. Make sure to follow the instructions; for example it says to only use the rechargeable batteries which are included; do NOT use alkaline or any other batteries.

I listen to political other news constantly. This helps me not disturb others, whenever I am listening. It is working great. Batteries are good (avoid wiring), if you do not forget to switch off both transmitter and headset switches. It is practical useful and works reasonably well.
